
Women's Soccer Comeback Falls Short Against NJIT

Liberty women's soccer hosted its first ever ASUN match Sunday at Osborne Stadium as they welcomed NJIT to town. For the first time in five games, Liberty scored a goal but a second half comeback fell short as the Lady Flames dropped the 3-1 match to NJIT. The Highlanders improve to 7-3-1 and 1-0-1 in the ASUN while Liberty falls to 1-9 and 0-2 in conference.

Turning Point
NJIT's Fiona Wright has been on a tear all season and she continued her stellar play on Sunday scoring two goals while attempting seven of NJIT's 14 shots. The Highlanders scored early in the first half and was able to maintain their lead all throughout the game.
