1. Liberty enters the weekend with a 13-6 record. The Flames have won a season-high seven straight games. Liberty‘s win streak is currently the seventh longest in the country.
2. Taking to the road for the fi rst time since March 3, Liberty defeated Virginia Tech, 12-5, Tuesday in Blacksburg, Va. With the win, Liberty moved to 4-3 in away games in 2015.

Flames in Big South Openers

• C Becker Sankey collected three hits, two home runs and a double, and drove in a career-high five runs in Liberty's win at Virginia Tech, Tuesday. He also scored a career-high three times. One of his home runs was the fi rst grand slam of his career.
• 2B Nick Salisbury posted carer-highs with four hits and three runs scored in the Flames' win at Virginia Tech, Tuesday.
• 1B/C Alex Close recorded his second three-hit and three-RBI contest at Virginia Tech, Tuesday. Close also pitched the fi nal 2/3 of inning in the Liberty win.
• Close leads the Flames with 16 RBI and 17 runs scored.
• OF/1B Andrew Yacyk collected his second three-hit game of the season in last Saturday's 4-2 win over Western Carolina. He leads the Flames with eight multi-hit games this season.
• SS Dalton Britt hit his second home run of the year in this past Saturday's 7-6 victory over the Penn State.
• LHP Michael Stafford moved to 2-1 on the year with seven solid innings at Virginia Tech, Tuesday. He gave up one run on six hits, striking out a career-high seven. The outing was the longest of his career.
• LHP Jared Lyons ran his record to 2-0, Sunday. Lyons went eight innings, allowing one run on six hits in a 3-2 win over Penn State.
• LHP Shawn Clowers recorded a win and save this past weekend at the Liberty Invitational. Saturday, Clowers moved to 5-0 on the year with two innings of relief in a 7-6 win over Penn State. Sunday, he earned his first save since 2012 with one inning of work in a 3-2 win over Penn State, 3/15. Clowers leads the Big South with five victories.
• RHP Parker Bean pitched his first complete game of the year and the second of his career in a 5-1 victory over Western Carolina, last Friday.
