Quick Hits
1. In the midst of an eight-game homestand, the Flames will host Old Dominion in the final midweek home game of the season, Wednesday. Liberty opened an eight-game homestand with a 7-3 setback to No. 11 Virginia on May 3. The homestand is the Flames' longest of the season.
2. Liberty and Old Dominion will be meeting for the second time, this season on Wednesday. On March 1, Old Dominion won a back-and-forth contest on a walk-off home run, 7-6, at the Bud Metheny Baseball Complex in Norforlk, Va.
3. Liberty and Coastal Carolina met for the final time as Big South opponents during the regular season, this past weekend. The No. 23 ranked Chanticleers swept the three-game series. The Flames have played the Chanticleers the most of any team in program history. Coastal Carolina and Liberty have met 96 times.
4. The Flames are 14-11 at Liberty Baseball Stadium in 2016. However, Liberty has dropped its last six home contests.
5. 19 of Liberty's contests have been decide by one run and 27 of the 48 have been decided by two runs or less.

• 1B/OF Andrew Yacyk was named to the 2016 Academic All-District 3 team selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, this past Thursday.
• Yacyk went 3-for-4 with a double and scored a run against Coastal Carolina, Saturday. The Flames' first baseman recorded his eighth three-hit game and his 15th multi-hit contest of the year.
• Yacyk's third hit of the night, a double, gave the Liberty Flames a 5-4 walk-off win over the Maryland Terrapins, April 5.
• Yacyk leads the Flames in doubles, home runs, RBI and total bases. He tied for fourth in the Big South with 15 doubles, tied for 10th with six home runs, ninth with 37 RBI and ninth with 97 total bases.
• 3B Andrew Kowalo had two hits, including a three-run home run, his fourth of the season, in Liberty's 10-7 win at William & Mary, April 27 . He tied a career-high with three RBI.
• Kowalo, OF Jack Morris, and C Payton Scarbrough each hit a home run in Liberty's 4-2 win over Presbyterian, April 22.
• OF/2B Will Shepherd went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored against Coastal Carolina, Sunday. He was also hit by a pitch. The contest was the junior's fifth three-hit and his 20th multiple-hit game, this season.
• Shepherd had his third home run of the week and sixth of the year among his two hits, April 23 at Presbyterian. He also collected three RBI on two hits, April 24 against the Blue Hose.
• Earlier in the week, Shepherd hit home runs, number four and five of the season, April 20 at Richmond. The 2B hit a two-run home run in the seventh and a solo blast in the ninth. He walked twice and scored three runs.
• RHP Shane Quarterley made his 23rd appearance of the year, Saturday. He leads the Flames in appearances and is currently, tied for third in the Big South in the category. Quarterley is also third in the conference with six saves.
• RHP Evan Mitchell is ninth in the Big South with a 2.89 ERA and third in complete games with three.
• C Josh Latta collected a career-high three hits, a double and two RBI at William & Mary, April 27. He also scored twice.
• CF D.J. Artis collected two hits, walked twice, drove in two runs and scored twice, April 26 against Virginia Tech. 2B/OF Will Shepherd, LF Andrew Yacyk and SS Dalton Britt also had two hits apiece for the Flames.
• 1B Sammy Taormina also hit his second home run of the season in the contest.
• Artis leads the Big South with a .509 on base percentage and is second in the conference lead with 21 stolen bases. The OF is second with 46 walks, sixth with a .365 batting average and is tied for six with 41 runs scored.
• Britt started his 200th consecutive game in the first game of Liberty's doubleheader against Kent State on March 19. Britt has now started 228 straight games. The senior has started every Liberty contest since joining the Flames in 2012. He is on pace to break Trey Wimmer's (2009-14) career record of 235 games played in the final regular season game at High Point, May 21.
• RHP Zander Clouse scattered seven hits and yielded one run during the longest relief outing of his career, 7.0 innings, in a 10-7 win at William & Mary, April 27. He pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings, before yielding a run in the eighth.
