Lady Flames to Host ITA Atlantic Regional

The Liberty Lady Flames tennis squad will host the ITA Atlantic Regional for the first time in program history, this week. The tournament will begin on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude on Monday with the singles finals at 9:30 a.m. and doubles finals at 11:30 a.m.
Live results will be provided each day upon completion of the draws. The finalized bracket for each day will be posted with results and matches for the following day.
The Lady Flames will have six representatives to compete for Liberty in the upcoming draws.
In singles play Emily Groeneveld, Anna Dollar and Evangeline Crist will all compete in the first round of the qualifying singles on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Belen Rivera will compete at 9:45 a.m. in the main draw Friday, followed by Maria Khval at 11:30 a.m.
Liberty will send three doubles squads into the tournament. The doubles tandems of Valerie Thong and Crist, and Groeneveld/Rivera will compete at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Khval and Dollar received a first round bye as the No. 13 seed and will begin doubles play on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Following this weekend's tournament, the Lady Flames will return to action on Oct. 30-Nov. 1 when Liberty heads to Spartanburg, S.C., to compete in the Wofford Invitational.
