LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Flames will travel to Lexington, Va., for a non-conference match against the VMI Keydets, Thursday afternoon at Patchin Field. Match time is set for 4 p.m.
Liberty and VMI will be meeting for the 30th time on Thursday. However, the two teams have not played each other since 2022 (a 4-0 Flames win at Osborne Stadium on Oct. 11).

- Liberty has opened its eighth season under head coach Kelly Findley with a 2-0-1 record. The Flames tied Radford 1-1 in their first road match of the season last Thursday.
- Liberty outscored its opponents, 13-2, so far this season.
- Forward Leo Conneh scored Liberty's lone goal in the contest. The junior has two goals and an assist for five points on the year.
- Defender Lucas Kelly leads the Flames with three goals. He is tied with senior forward Sam Farner with six points. Farner has two goals and two assists on the season.
- Tyler Beck has played every minute in goal for the Flames during the first three games of the season. The sophomore goalkeeper has a 0.67 goals-against average and a .778 save percentage.
- This season, Findley has two new assistant coaches. Glodi Konga and Cyrus Salehi have joined the Liberty staff. Konga, a former Flame, has played professionally and has collegiate head coaching experience, while Salehi has over 20 years of head coaching experience, primarily at the high school and club levels.
- Joining Liberty's new assistants are 10 newcomers - eight transfers and two true freshmen.
