Field Hockey’s Richard Invited to U-21 Junior National Team Selection Camp

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty field hockey freshman Caroline Richard has been invited to the USA Field Hockey U-21 Junior National Team Selection Camp.
Richard's selection to the camp, a rare occurrence for college freshmen, comes following the conclusion of the 2025 Senior Nexus Championship, which took place in July at the Virginia Beach Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. The U-21 Junior Women's National Team Selection camp is set for Dec. 19-21 on the campus of Charlotte.
Richard, a midfielder, is in her second semester at Liberty enrolling last spring. Her appearance at the Senior Nexus Championship over the summer marked the fourth straight year in which she has played in the Nexus Championships.
Richard made her first career appearance in a Liberty uniform in a 4-3 road victory over No. 5 Duke, last Friday in the season opener. Richard and the No. 17 Lady Flames (1-0) will face James Madison (1-1) in their home opener, Wednesday afternoon. Match time is 2 p.m. at the Liberty Field Hockey Field.
