
No. 1 Seed DBU Pulls Out 5-3 Victory Over No. 8 Seed Liberty

Trailing 3-0 in the top of the seventh inning, Liberty struck for three two-out runs on five hits to tie the game at 3-3. The Flames knotted the game on a two-out infield single by shortstop Tanner Marsh.
Dallas Baptist, ranked No. 18 in the country, answered with a run in the bottom of the seventh to take back the lead and added another in the eighth for a 5-3 victory.
Flames catcher Seth Christmas had two hits and scored a run. Right fielder Camden Troyer also collected two hits and walked in the contest for the Flames.
Liberty falls to 30-26 on the season and drops to an elimination game against the loser of No. 4 seed Jax State and No. 5 seed Louisiana Tech later this evening at 4 p.m. tomorrow.
DBU moves to 39-14 on the year and advances to play the winner of Jax State-Louisiana Tech tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
