COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Liberty stunned No. 1 Texas A&M in the winner-take-all final of the Bryan-College Station Regional, winning 6-5 on Sunday night at Davis Diamond to punch the Lady Flames' first ticket to the NCAA Super Regionals.
The Lady Flames (50-13) fell to Texas A&M 14-11 in eight innings in today's first game, setting up tonight's winner-take-all final. The Aggies finish their season with a 48-11 record, becoming the first national No. 1 seed in the Super Regional era (since 2005) to not qualify for Super Regionals. Liberty defeated Texas A&M 8-5 yesterday and added tonight's 6-5 win to earn the series victory.
Liberty will take on No. 16 seed Oregon, Friday through Sunday in Super Regionals in Eugene, Ore.

Turning Point
• Liberty led 6-0 after Rachel Roupe's grand slam in the second inning. The Aggies jumped ahead with a six-run fourth, building an 11-7 lead entering the bottom of the seventh.
• The Lady Flames tied it with a four-run seventh, but left the bases loaded. The hosts responded by scoring three times in the eighth to set up the "if necessary" game.
Notable Numbers
• Texas A&M outhit Liberty 18-11, with the Lady Flames committing a season-high six errors.
• Sydney Lessentine (6-2) earned the win in relief, tossing 1 1/3 innings of hitless softball.
• Paige Bachman (11-4) drew the loss, allowing seven runs (three earned) on seven hits, walking three in 4 1/3 innings of relief.
• Texas A&M's Koko Wooley went 4-for-6 with two RBI and three runs scored, while Kennedy Powell batted 3-for-6 with four RBI and one run scored. Mya Perez, KK Dement and Mac Barbara all homered for the Aggies.
