Liberty Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze held his weekly press conference, Monday morning, from the Media Room of the Liberty Football Center.
During the weekly press event, Freeze recapped Liberty’s 48-7 win over Campbell, last Saturday, plus previewed Liberty’s road game at Troy.
Liberty (1-0) will play its first road game of 2021 at Troy (1-0), Saturday evening. The Flames will seek their first-ever win in Alabama and the first win by a road team in the Liberty-Troy series all-time.
Troy is the first of three Sun Belt opponents on Liberty's 2021 schedule (also ULM and Louisiana). The Flames are 6-1 all-time versus Sun Belt foes and have won three straight meetings with Sun Belt foes.
In his third season as Liberty's head coach, Freeze could become the fastest Flames coach to record 20 victories with a triumph on Saturday. He has coached Liberty to back-to-back Cure Bowl victories.
