Notes and Anecdotes – Liberty vs. Queens
• Liberty will play back-to-back games against ASUN newcomer Queens, including a visit to Charlotte on Thursday and a return trip to Lynchburg for Senior Day on Saturday.
• The Lady Flames will face the same team in consecutive contests for the first time since March 5 & 6, 2021, when they wrapped up the regular season with back-to-back games at FGCU.
• This will mark the Lady Flames' first visit to the Charlotte area since a 73-53 victory at Winthrop on Feb. 20, 2018.
• Liberty will face Jen Brown for the first time in her head coaching career. The Lady Flames were 1-6 versus Brown during her time as an assistant at James Madison (2010-11 through 2015-16) and Virginia Tech (2016-17 through 2019-20).
• If the Lady Flames are victorious on Thursday, it would mark their 10th consecutive win. Liberty has recorded 16 win streaks of 10+ games during Carey Green's 24 years as head coach. The Lady Flames have posted 18 total double-digit win streaks since their last 10-game losing streak (in 1987).
• Liberty is averaging 5.6 blocks per ASUN contest, pulling its season average up to 4.9. The Lady Flames rank No. 17 nationally in the category and have not averaged this many blocks for a full season since 2011-12 (5.0 blocks/game).
A Few Firsts
• Queens is the fourth and final first-time opponent on Liberty's 2022-23 schedule.
