
Rhodes Earns NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week Distinction

Liberty field hockey sophomore Daniella Rhodes has been honored as the Play Safe/NFHCA Division I Offensive Player of the Week.
After being named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Rhodes now collects her first-ever national honor. The second-year forward from Durban, South Africa tallied two goals, one assist and five points in the Lady Flames' 3-1 victory in their season opener at Davidson, Sunday morning.
Rhodes scored Liberty's first goal of the season early in the second half at 30:28, providing the visitors a 1-0 lead they never surrendered. The forward assisted on Jill Bolton's goal at 34:37, which bumped the Liberty lead to 2-0. Rhodes scored an empty net goal in the 60th minute, bringing the final score to 3-1.
In 19 career games, Rhodes has recorded 15 goals, 10 assists and 40 points (2.11 points per game).
The Lady Flames (1-0) will take on Villanova (0-0) on Saturday and Sunday at the Liberty Field Hockey Field to open up BIG EAST play. Saturday's game will start at noon, with Sunday's contest scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Both games can be seen on ESPN+.
