Liberty, coming off of a 1-2 showing at the season-opening VCU Invitational, welcomes Winthrop (0-3), UNCW (0-3) and Murray State (2-0) to Liberty Arena for a tournament, Friday and Saturday.

Liberty is hosting two home tournaments in a single season for the first time in program history, as Radford, Coppin State and Eastern Michigan come to Liberty Arena, Sept. 16-17.
The Lady Flames are looking to win a home tournament for the first time since going 3-0 at the 2019 Liberty Invitational, beating Elon, Virginia Tech and Davidson.
Liberty was voted to finish fifth in the 14-team ASUN Preseason Volleyball Poll. This will be Liberty's fifth and final season as a member of the ASUN before joining Conference USA on July 1, 2023.
This year's 19-player roster features 10 newcomers (seven freshmen plus three transfers). Additionally, redshirt senior Amelia Preston and redshirt sophomore Julia Mangum return from injuries that caused them to miss most (Preston) or all (Mangum) of the 2021 fall campaign.
Texas A&M transfer Erica Lowery leads the ASUN with 5.0 digs per set and set a new career in digs in all three matches last weekend.
Lipscomb transfer Delaney Dilfer was named to the VCU Invitational All-Tournament Team and currently ranks fourth in the ASUN with 10.36 assists per set.
Julia Mangum, who had not played in 532 days while recovering from a leg injury, started all three matches last weekend and ranks third in the ASUN with 1.43 blocks per set.
