Late Friday afternoon, the Liberty University Athletics Department announced that it has sold out of its allotment of tickets for next weekend's James Madison football game.
Liberty will have more than 1,500 in attendance for next weekend's in-state contest in Harrisonburg, Va. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m., inside Bridgeforth Stadium.
The ticket sales marked the largest road game pre-sale in program history, including last year's season opener at West Virginia. A portion of these record-breaking sales include Liberty's "Hike to Harrisonburg" campaign, which is an Athletics Department initiative to create caravans of fans traveling from Lynchburg to Harrisonburg for the match-up of Top 15 FCS ranked programs.
The Flames Ticket Office will be sending an email to everyone who purchased their James Madison ticket through the LU Ticket Office with game day information, as well as, will call details the later part of the week. The information will also be posted online.
