As the Liberty women's swimming team gets ready for its second straight meeting with an ACC opponent, Nick Pierce of the Flames Sports Network sat down for an interview with third-year head coach Jake Shellenberger.
The Lady Flames carry a 3-1 record, including 3-0 in CCSA dual-meet action, so far this season. Liberty won five events in its most recent meet, the Virginia Tech Sprint Classic on Oct. 20. So far this year, three newcomers (Laura Day, Emilie Kaufman and Hannah Wakeley) have set program records, while Kaufman was named CCSA Swimmer of the Week on Oct. 17.
Liberty next travels to Boston this Friday to compete in a tri-meet against Boston College of the ACC and Maine of the America East Conference.
