
5-Run 4th Sends Auburn Past Liberty

Liberty jumped out to a 3-0 lead over No. 22 Auburn with a three-run double by Denay Griffin in the first. However, the Tigers rallied with a five-run fourth inning to defeat the Lady Flames 5-3, Saturday at Eddie C. Moore Complex.
Auburn improves to 2-1 with the win, while Liberty is looking for its first win at the 2020 NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic at 0-3.
Today's game was the first of four straight games against SEC opponents, as the Lady Flames will take on Mississippi State later today.

Turning Point
- Liberty led 3-0 after a first-inning bases-clearing double from Denay Griffin, but that was all of the scoring Liberty managed against Auburn.
- With one out and runners on second and third in the fourth inning, Koepke homered to right field to tie it. Perry then hit an inside-the-park homer to give Auburn a 4-3 lead. After a single by Makenna Dowell, Keeney came on in relief, allowing one inherited runner to score.
