As part of the team's preparations for their Homecoming game against FIU, Liberty Head Football Coach Jamey Chadwell met with the media on Tuesday. Â
Â
During the media session, Chadwell provided his final thoughts on Liberty's road win at Kennesaw State, plus looked ahead to Saturday's contest against FIU.
Â
After Chadwell's weekly presser, running back Kam Davis and JACK Brenton Williams addressed the media from the Media Room inside the Liberty Football Center.
Â
The Flames are 3-1 all-time against the Panthers, including 2-0 at home. Each of the last two Liberty-FIU battles has gone to overtime, with the home team winning both contests.
Â
Liberty is looking to close out its second consecutive unbeaten month of October. The Flames have opened the month with a trio of Weekday CUSA triumphs, holding those opponents to an average of 7.7 ppg.
Â
Jamey Chadwell is 31-14 in his fourth season at Liberty and owns a 62-20 coaching record dating back to the start of 2020. Chadwell is 10-2 in October contests with the Flames and has seen his Liberty squads go 3-0 and average 47.7 ppg on Homecoming.

The Flames are now 14-0 under Jamey Chadwell when keeping their opponent from reaching 20 points. Seven different players have intercepted a pass this season, with six of them doing so for the first time in their collegiate career.
