7/11/2025 12:02:00 PM | Women's Basketball
LYNCHBURG, Va. – Defending CUSA champion Liberty has completed its 2025-26 schedule with Friday's announcement of the Lady Flames' 18-game CUSA slate.
Liberty's third season of CUSA play will begin with the team's longest conference road trip (Jan. 2 at New Mexico State and Jan. 4 at UTEP) and wrap up with a three-game homestand at Liberty Arena (Feb. 26 vs. Middle Tennessee, Feb. 28 vs. Western Kentucky and March 7 vs. Delaware).
Format
With the addition of Delaware and Missouri State boosting CUSA's membership to 12, all conference women's basketball teams will face seven CUSA opponents twice and four CUSA squads once during the 2025-26 regular season.
Liberty will match up with the following teams twice this season: Delaware, FIU, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, New Mexico State, UTEP and Western Kentucky.
The Lady Flames will meet Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston once apiece.
Championship Rematches
Liberty has squared off with Middle Tennessee in the CUSA Women's Basketball Championship title game each of the last two seasons, cutting down the nets for the first time in 2025.
The Lady Flames will travel to Murfreesboro on Jan. 24, and Middle Tennessee will make the return trip to Lynchburg on Feb. 26.
Nice to Meet You
The Lady Flames will match up with both CUSA newcomers twice this season, facing Delaware on Jan. 17 (road) and in the March 7 regular-season finale (home) and playing Missouri State on Jan. 31 (home) and Feb. 19 (road).
Liberty lost its only previous meeting with Delaware, 62-56 on Nov. 23, 2001 at the UNCG Marriott Classic. The Lady Flames have never faced defending MVC regular-season champion Missouri State on the hardwood.
Heading Back to Huntsville
For the third year in a row, the CUSA Women's Basketball Championship will be played at Propst Arena in Huntsville, Ala. The event will take place in conjunction with the CUSA Men's Basketball Championship, March 10-14.
