
2025 CUSA Basketball Tipoff Event Scheduled to Air on Oct. 14

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The 2025 CUSA Basketball Tipoff and Media Day event is scheduled to air on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+.
Commissioner Judy MacLeod, as well as head coaches and student-athletes from Liberty and all conference men's and women's hoops programs, will discuss and preview the upcoming 2025-26 season.
Liberty Women's Basketball Head Coach Alexis Sherard and sophomore guard Avery Mills will be featured on the show, along with Liberty Men's Basketball Head Coach Ritchie McKay and senior guard Colin Porter.
The CUSA Basketball Tipoff panel will discuss the CUSA preseason polls and all-conference teams. For a third straight year, Huntsville, Ala. will be the host city for the 2026 Conference USA Men's & Women's Basketball Championships, which will be held at Propst Arena March 10-14.
Both the Liberty women's and men's basketball programs are coming off successful 2024-25 seasons. The Lady Flames and Flames both captured CUSA regular season and championship crowns last year, with each squad advancing to the NCAA Tournament. The Lady Flames will face Frostburg State in their season opener, Nov. 4 at Liberty Arena. The Flames will match up with Kentucky Christian on Nov. 3 at home in their first game of the year.
