Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I had always wanted to play at Liberty from a young age. I feel like God has been bringing me here for a very long time and it is cool to achieve my dream to play football here.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Before every game after we run into the tunnel, I always get on my knees and pray. Usually, it’s nothing crazy, but I just sit and listen to the crowd and thank God for the opportunity that he’s given me to achieve my dream.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom and my dad lead and show me what it looks like to live a Christ like life.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable accomplishment was winning the Conference championship sophomore year.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
When was young I went to a Liberty football game bought the number 54 jersey in the bookstore. I went through a lot of heartache and trials to get to play football at Liberty. Once I got to Liberty I got randomly assigned number 54. The jersey number 54 had hung in my room for four years before I came to Liberty. It was definitely a cool thing from the Lord.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My great grandfather, my grandfather, and my uncle all played college football in Minnesota.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Steak is my favorite food.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I open Instagram first every day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I enjoy camping and hiking.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Tim Tebow.
What is your favorite possession and why?
My Bible.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Take me Home, Country Roads.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Bora bora because it is so tropical.
