• The Liberty Flames return home to Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium to host the CUSA-leading Jax State Gamecocks this weekend. Liberty enters the weekend in second place in the conference with a 9-3 mark, while Jax State has a 12-0 record.
• The Flames completed a five-game road trip with an 11-4 victory at Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday. Liberty finished the trip with a 5-0 record and has won eight straight contests. Liberty swept a three-game CUSA series at Western Kentucky this past Thursday-Saturday.Â
• Liberty has posted a 12-6 record at home this season. The Flames swept a three-game series from FIU, March 27-29, the last time they played at Worthington Field at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

Blair Named to Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List
• Liberty junior right-hander Ben Blair is one of 45 of the nation's top amateur baseball players named to the midseason watch list for the Golden Spikes Award by USA Baseball, announced on April 2.
• He becomes the second Liberty player to be named to the Golden Spikes Midseason Watch List. Out-fielder D.J. Artis was named to the award's midseason list in 2017.
• Blair has also been selected to the PerfectGame College Midseason All-American second team and garnered a place on the Baseball America National Pitcher of the Year Watch list on April 1.
Barone Breaks Out
• Nick Barone has had quite the month of March. The left fielder hit a team-leading .348, driving in 17 runs and scoring 17 runs.
• Barone went 14-for-14 in stolen bases during March and enters the week tied for third in  CUSA with 15.Â
• Barone followed the month up by blasting two home runs over last weekend in the Flames' sweep at Western Kentucky. This past Saturday, outfielder belted a grand slam in the ninth inning to tie the game at 5-5 during Liberty's six-run inning for a come-from-behind 6-5 win.Â
• The outfielder also added a four-RBI night on Tuesday in the Flames' 11-4 win at Virginia Tech.
• For the season, Barone has hit .296 with 23 RBI and 24 runs scored. He has four home runs.
Jaffe Provides a Spark
• Since his return to the lineup on March 7 against Harvard, Jordan Jaffe has bolstered the Flames' lineup. Jaffe has hit .333, the second-best for a Liberty player during the span, with 12 RBI and 18 runs scored over 20 games.Â
• Hitting third in the Liberty batting order, Jaffe has had the second most hits on the team over the span with 29, four doubles and two home runs, his only roundtrippers on the sea-son.
• Jaffe has posted a .379 on-base percentage and enters the weekend with a 10-game hitting streak.
