No. 21 Liberty (34-8, 13-1 CUSA) heads to Las Cruces, N.M., for a three-game series at New Mexico State (21-17, 8-7), Friday through Sunday.

- The Lady Flames are coming off of a dramatic, 4-3 win on Tuesday against Virginia. Brooke Roberts hit a walk-off two-run double to complete the comeback victory.
- Liberty (.335) and NM State (.318) have the top two team batting averages in the CUSA. However, Liberty leads in team ERA (2.44), while the Aggies are eighth at 4.47.
- This weekend's series features the 2024 CUSA Player of the Year, NM State's Desirae Spearman, and 2025 CUSA Preseason Player of the Year, Liberty's Rachel Roupe. Spearman leads the CUSA in homers, slugging percentage, on base percentage and OPS, while Roupe leads in doubles and RBI.

- Individually, Rachel Roupe is tied for 14th in NCAA Division I with 15 homers, sixth in total bases (109) and seventh in doubles (15), while KK Madrey is eighth with 31 steals. Elena Escobar is tied for 12th nationally with four shutouts, while Kaylan Yoder's 3.83 hits allowed per seven innings rank sixth.
- Seven out of Liberty's nine regular starters bat .300 or better. KK Madrey hits .412 with a CUSA-leading 31 stolen bases. 2025 CUSA Preseason Player of the Year Rachel Roupe (.364) has hit 15 homers and leads the CUSA 15 doubles and 47 RBI. Oregon State transfers Paige Doerr (.354) and Savanah Whatley (.346) provide offensive punch. Savannah Woodard (.336) is second on the team in both homers (7) and RBI (32). Brooke Roberts (.333, 26 RBI) and Brynn McManus (.317, 5 HR, 25 RBI) are strong run producers. Freshman Alexia Carrasquillo bats .394 with four homers and 14 RBI in 13 games played.
- 2024 NFCA All-Region second team pitcher Elena Escobar is 15-3 with a 2.25 ERA overall and four shutouts, including a stellar 8-0 record and 1.34 ERA in CUSA play. Escobar tied a Liberty Softball Stadium record with 13 strikeouts on Saturday against Middle Tennessee. Four different Lady Flames have pitched at least one shutout. Kaylan Yoder (6-3, 2.51) leads CUSA with a .163 opponents batting average. Paige Bachman is 8-1 with a 3.04 ERA and had 10 strikeouts on March 29 against UTEP.
