Liberty's 2009-10 athletic year officially wrapped up Saturday, when Sam Chelanga finished as the NCAA national runner-up in the men's 5K final in Eugene, Ore. Now, it's time for Liberty fans to select the Flames' most notable accomplishments from the past year, when voting for the fourth annual Sparkys begins on Monday.
Sparkys will once again be awarded in five categories, beginning with Biggest Win. In addition, the Best Individual Performance, Best Newcomer, Best Female Athlete and Best Male Athlete will also be recognized. All winners will be determined through fan voting on the Flames Poll, located on the right-hand side of LibertyFlames.com.
Each category's poll will remain open for one week, after which time the winner will be announced and voting for the next award will begin. A full voting schedule, as well as a list of past Sparkys winners, appears below.
The five nominees for 2009-10's Biggest Win will be announced Monday. Watch LibertyFlames.com for the announcement, and be ready to cast your vote!
