For the second consecutive year, the Flames Club held its annual Director's Day Wednesday at the Vines Center, allowing members to secure priority seating for the 2009-10 men's and women's basketball seasons. From 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., members at the Flames Club Director's Level or higher were given time slots, based upon their membership level and amount of loyalty points accumulated.

Refreshments were provided by Chick-fil-A on Wards Road and served in an area behind the tunnel basket, which was decorated with Liberty's 2009 Sasser Cup trophy and the 2008-09 women's basketball Big South regular season and tournament hardware. While stopping by to reserve their seats, members could also catch a glimpse of new men's basketball coach Dale Layer and the Flames during the team's practice.
