For the second-straight home game, the Flames managed to put 50 points up on the scoreboard, en route to a 55-19 victory over visiting Presbyterian, Saturday afternoon, at Williams Stadium.

With their fourth-straight victory, the Flames pushed their season record to 6-2, while the two-time defending Big South champions moved to 3-0 in league action.

News and Notes:
• The victory over Presbyterian extended Liberty’s Big South winning streak to 14-straight games.
• Liberty’s current 14-game Big South winning streak is the longest conference winning streak in Big South history.
• With 14-straight Big South victories, Liberty’s conference winning streak is still the third longest active conference winning streak among FCS programs (ranking behind Appalachian State – 17 games/Southern and South Carolina State – 16 games/MEAC).
• Liberty has now scored 50 or more points in back-to-back home games and for the fifth time under head coach Danny Rocco.
• Liberty has now won four-straight games, which is tied for the 12th-longest active winning streak in FCS football.
• The game was played in front of 14,197 fans, which gives Liberty five-straight home games with an attendance figure over 14,000.
• Liberty now ranks No. 4 nationally in total home attendance (74,379), No. 5 in filling stadium capacity (123.97 percent) and No. 10 in average home attendance (14,876).
• The game was played in front of 14,197 fans, which was the ninth-highest attended home FCS game this past weekend.
• All five of Liberty’s home attendance figures have ranked inside the Top 10 in terms of most highly attended FCS games during their respective weekend.
• Liberty finished the game with 232 rushing yards and now ranks No. 22 nationally in average rushing yards per game (173.25).
• Liberty has rushed for 200 or more yards four times this season and 19 times since head coach Danny Rocco took over the program in 2006 (out of 42 games).
• The Flames rushed for five touchdowns during the game, giving Liberty four out of five home games where the Flames have rushed for four or more touchdowns.
• The five rushing touchdowns pushed Liberty’s season total to 25 rushing touchdowns, which ranks as the second most team rushing touchdowns in all of FCS football (Appalachian State lead the country with 29 rushing touchdowns).
• Three Liberty quarterbacks combined to complete 19-of-26 passing attempts, which pushed the Flames team completion percentage above 70 percent on the season (70.9).
• Liberty’s 70.9 team completion percentage currently leads the nation (146-of-206), ranking ahead of Appalachian State’s 69.88 completion percentage (174-of-249).
• Liberty finished the game with a season-high 11 penalties for 105 yards.
• The penalty totals marked the fifth time Liberty has finished a game with 10 or more penalties under head coach Danny Rocco and the fourth time with more than a 100 penalty yards.
• Liberty, who came into the game ranked No. 4 in fewest penalties per game and No. 2 in fewest penalty yards per game, now ranks No. 20 in fewest penalties per game (5.25) and No. 17 in fewest penalty yards per game (43.75)
• Liberty was forced to punt twice against Presbyterian, which leaves the Flames tied for No. 11 nationally in fewest total punts in 2009 (29).
• For the seventh-straight week, Liberty recorded an interception, finishing the Presbyterian game with three interceptions.
• With its three interceptions, the Flames now ranked No. 4 nationally with 15 interceptions on the year.
• For the third-straight game and the fifth time this year, Liberty finished a game without an interception.
• Through eight games in 2009, the Flames have only thrown four interceptions, which is tied for No. 8 nationally in fewest interceptions thrown.
• The Flames fumbled a ball away for the third time this year and now rank No. 3 nationally in fewest fumbles lost (3) in 2009.
• Liberty allowed its third-highest point total of the year with 19 points and now ranks No. 18 nationally in scoring defense (16.5 points per game).
• Presbyterian turned the ball over four times during the games, giving Liberty a +12 turnover rate in 2009, which has the Flames ranked No. 5 nationally in turnover margin.
• Liberty failed to convert on its second fourth-down play of the year and now ranks No. 4 nationally in fourth-down efficiency (5-of-7).
• Liberty scored during all nine of its trips inside the Presbyterian red zone, pushing the Flames’ streak to 28-straight scoring drives when entering the opponent’s 20-yard line.
• Following the game, Liberty now ranks No. 4 nationally in red zone offense with a 91.9 scoring efficiency (34-of-37).
• Presbyterian scored on two of its three drives inside the 20-yard line, which has the Flames ranked No. 13 nationally in red zone scoring defense (67.9 percent/18-of-29).
• Liberty allowed one punt return for eight yards, which was only the seventh punt return the Flames have allowed in 2009.
• Liberty currently ranks tied for No. 8 nationally in fewest punt returns allowed in 2009.
